By ensuring that your tribe contains members who provide social support, you create a net that you can fall back upon in times of need, and bounce back into thriving productivity with only minor setbacks. Wholehearted living, in the absence of numbing, allows you to engage in life from a place of worthiness sustained by self-love, self-acceptance: in other words being self-actualized.

4 Interactive & Inspiring Modules


You will:

  • Contemplate three different ways support is given: emotional, informational and affirmational.
  • Consider how your needs are met (or not)  in the tribes you belong to: with family, with friends, at work, at school, and in the community.
  • Complete daily reflections, for a week
  • Explore your support networks, including those on social media.
  • Discern the roles people play in your life. Are they: achievers? nurturers? interesting people?  or outliers?
  • Consider where there need to be movement in the constellation of your Career Tribe?
  • Compare: Who do you turn to, now, for emotional, informational and affirmational to fill your needs for inclusion, affection and influence?


Module One

What are Your Tribal Needs?

As individuals each of us differs in how we fill our needs. Yet support is given in three different ways. Explore your personal and professional needs and how they are met in the tribes you belong to: with family, with friends, at work, at school, and in the community.

Time: 2 hours



Who has Your Back?

If  "You are the average of the five people you spend the most time with”(Business Philosopher Jim Rohn), then who do you spend the most time with? Explore your support networks, including those on social media. When it comes to your career aspirations discern their roles in your life.

Circling Back

What did you discover about the people you spend the most time with? Who do you want to draw closer to you? How do you plan on doing that? How will you design the constellation of your Career Tribe?

Time: 2 hours



Bringing it all Together

What have you learned from your experience of being conscious of the people you allow into your hut? How do you feel as a result of your awareness and the decisions you have made? Who do you turn to, now,  to fill your needs?

Time: 2 hours
